About 35 participants of the She Drives project are currently undergoing practical training to obtain a driver's qualification card (Code 95) - a mandatory confirmation of professional competence for drivers who perform international cargo transportation.
During the training, the participants master:
▪️ regulatory and legal requirements for international transportation
▪️ drivers' work and rest regimes
▪️ rules for using tachographs
▪️ basics of safe cargo transportation
At the same time, the participants actively practice practical skills on the basis of Best Driver Kyiv, which are as close as possible to the real working conditions of a truck driver.
Among the key elements of the practice:
🔹 truck awning
🔹 correct fastening and securing of cargo
🔹 coupling and uncoupling of a trailer
🔹 maneuvering large-sized vehicles
🔹 practicing algorithms for actions during loading and departure on the route
Moreover, the truck simulator in virtual reality format helps participants safely experience the specifics of driving, increase concentration and better prepare for real trips.
This knowledge is the foundation for responsible and safe work on routes within the EU and beyond.
The project "Expanding the professional potential of women in the field of transportation" is being implemented by the NGO Foundation for Institutional Development on the initiative of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, in partnership with UN Women and under the financial support from the governments of France, Poland and Sweden.
