Excursion to the Kyiv Central Bus Station
Participants of the She Drives project visited the Kyiv Central Bus Station on a tour to see how the passenger transportation system works from the inside.

🚍 She Drives participants visited the Kyiv Central Bus Station to get a closer look at the realities of the profession.
From the moment they arrived at the platform to the departure of the flight, future drivers were shown every step of the work route.
The participants saw how passengers are registered, how the dispatch service and ticket offices work.
They visited the rest areas, learned about the hostel for drivers, where they can rest between flights.
🗣 Representatives of the bus station answered all questions openly, and the director shared an inspiring story about two bus drivers, whom passengers have already loved for their professionalism. His advice to the participants was simple but important: don’t be afraid – this profession is for you!
🤝 Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach joined the discussion on the development of the passenger transportation sector.
Together with the participants, the bus station team, and representatives of the MAPA Public Union, they talked about the importance of involving women in this profession and the international experience that we can and should implement.
The project "Expanding the professional potential of women in the field of transportation" is being implemented by the NGO Foundation for Institutional Development on the initiative of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, in partnership with UN Women and under the financial support from the governments of France, Poland and Sweden.
