🚍 The She Drives project is in the active phase of implementation.
About 70 participants have already started theoretical training. Another 30 will join them in the near future thanks to an additional recruitment.
We visited one of the driving schools in Kyiv, where participants from the city and region are currently studying, to talk to them, learn about their achievements and challenges, and support them at this stage of their journey to their dream job as a bus driver.
Groups of participants studying in Kyiv and Bila Tserkva are already completing theoretical training and preparing to take the theory exam at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Service Center.
👩🔧 Next, they will have:
1. Practical training to practice their skills.
2. Additional training opportunities to develop general competencies and skills necessary for employment.
3. Excursions to partner employers.
4. Passing a practical driving exam and obtaining a category “D” driver’s license.
5. Employment as a bus driver.
✨ We are happy to watch each participant develop and get closer to their goal – to become a professional bus driver!
The project "Expanding the professional potential of women in the field of transportation" is being implemented by the NGO Foundation for Institutional Development on the initiative of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, in partnership with UN Women and under the financial support from the governments of France, Poland and Sweden.
